BELLA BARLOW
Composer, Singer-Songwriter, Vocal Coach
TEACHING
Alongside Bella’s writing and performing career, she also works as a vocal coach and musical director within London.
She is a visiting lecturer in Singing / Musical Theatre at the University of Southampton, and works as a private vocal coach throughout London.
Many of Bella's clients work across the West End, and some of her students have been in musicals such as The Lion King, Thriller, Matilda, and most recently The School of Rock. She also has students in Various BBC programs and at various performance arts schools such as Sylvia Young’s, Arts Ed, and RADA.
Bella has worked as an associate vocal musical director for School musicals such as The Sound of Music (2013) and Cabaret (2012 – both at Blundell’s school), and worked as the Assistant Musical Director for the new musical ‘Soul Music’ written by Craig Adams and Andrew Doyle as part of YMTs Summer Season. She has also part of the ‘Easy Pieces’ TIE Cast, and most recently began leading The Clocktower Community Choir as their MD and vocal coach. She has also performed with The West End Gospel Choir.
Qualifications: MA (Distinction) Music Theatre (Central School of Speech and Drama), BA (Hons) Music (University of Southampton), Dip LCM (Musical Theatre, Distinction).
